Claims and statements herein are for informational purposes only and have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

The statements about organizations, practitioners, methods of treatment, and products listed on this website are not meant to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. This information is intended for educational purposes only.

Major Claim Support Service

Major Claim Support is a separate, paid annual membership — see Major Claim Support for donation amounts. The general disclaimer above applies to it in full, along with the following:

  • Scope of Service: MBHA provides administrative support, education, and navigation services. MBHA is not a health insurance company, medical provider, law firm, or tax advisor. MBHA does not provide medical, legal, or tax advice. Any information provided is for general educational purposes and does not create a professional-client relationship (attorney-client, doctor-patient, or accountant-client).
  • Not an Emergency Service: MBHA is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, contact local emergency services or a 24/7 crisis hotline in your area.
  • No Guarantee / Outcomes May Vary: MBHA cannot guarantee claim approval, reversal of denials, bill reductions, debt relief outcomes, or grant/fundraising success. Outcomes depend on insurer/provider/funder rules, eligibility, documentation, deadlines, and third-party decisions.
  • Member Responsibility & Deadlines: You are responsible for your decisions, deadlines, and what you submit to insurers, providers, debt collectors, and funders. MBHA may provide reminders and preparation support, but MBHA is not responsible for missed deadlines or decisions made by third parties.
  • Authorization for Communication: MBHA may assist you in preparing for calls or participating in member-led or 3-way calls where permitted. Insurers and providers may require identity verification, written authorization, or your presence on the call before discussing your information.
  • Privacy & Communication Methods: MBHA uses reasonable safeguards to protect your information; however, email and text messaging may not be fully secure. By using these methods, you acknowledge and accept this risk. You may request alternate communication methods where available. Use the member portal for uploading documents whenever possible.
  • Document Accuracy: MBHA relies on the accuracy and completeness of information and documents you provide. MBHA is not responsible for errors or omissions in member-provided information or third-party records.
  • Fees & Billing Authorization: Membership fees are annual. Document preparation is billed at $20/hour in 15-minute increments only when requested and authorized. Additional fees may apply for third-party services you choose (e.g., mailing, printing, platform fees).
  • Success Fee (Fundraising/Grants): If you request fundraising/grant support, a success fee of 10% applies to net funds received (gross receipts minus mandatory processing fees), only when MBHA has documented involvement. Success fees apply only after funds are received/disbursed and documented.
  • No Handling of Client Funds: MBHA does not hold, receive, route, or control funds raised for members. All donations and grant funds are paid directly to the member or the designated recipient determined by the fundraising platform/funder.
  • Fundraising & Tax-Deductibility: MBHA assistance with fundraising does not mean donations are tax-deductible. Donors should consult a tax professional regarding deductibility.
  • Referrals & Third-Party Resources: MBHA may refer members to third-party resources. MBHA does not endorse, control, or guarantee services provided by third parties and is not responsible for their actions, availability, pricing, or outcomes.
  • Limitations of Services: Services are subject to availability and may vary based on geographic location and provider policies.
  • Donation Amounts Subject to Change: Membership donation amounts and service pricing may change without prior notice.
  • Membership Tax-Deductibility: Paid membership includes services in return (navigation support, the Quick Guides library, resource access), so only the portion of a donation that exceeds the fair market value of those services may be tax-deductible. Consult your tax preparer for your specific situation.
